Summer Concert Series ♪ Jones Boys

Jones Boys

Country

Delmarva's own Jones Boys band has been together since January 1992. This energetic group enjoys playing current country hits along with traditional country music. Darren Jones, the band's leader, plays keyboards and keyboard bass while his brother, Brett, plays rhythm and fills in on drums and bass as needed. Tom Kaufman is the lead guitarist but also plays pedal steel. The audience can always count on Tom's rousing rendition on the fiddle of "The Orange Blossom Special." Jim Jones, Darren and Brett's father, was an original member of the group, but he has since been replaced by Bobby Simmons, who plays drums.

The Jones Boys have appeared in Nashville and at numerous fairs, and have opened for Hank Williams III. They have performed onstage at the Harrington Raceway and Casino and at clubs throughout Delmarva, where audiences are always entertained by their rendition of songs from artists such as George Jones, George Strait and more. The Jones Boys also have the ability to perform almost any country song requested during their shows.

Brody Bond

Folk

Brody Bond, a performing songwriter from Baltimore, MD, hopes his songs can be a type of emotional resource for people. With a voice that’s confident though fragile, melodies that take surprising turns, and lyrics that are as smart as they are emotionally vulnerable, Brody’s songs will delight especially the critical listener, and especially anyone who has grown from heartbreaking circumstances.

His performances are light-hearted, but the songs are serious, poetic, and curious. Audiences leave having been invited to a greater curiosity and hope.

Summer Concert Series ♪ Bryan & the Barn Owls

Bryan & the Barn Owls

Country, Rock, Pop

Established in 2018, Bryan Scar created the trio 'Bryan & The Barn Owls' to further promote/bolden his sound. The Barn Owls name was chosen because Bryan believed when one thinks of barns, they think of rustic Americana & when one thinks of Owls, they think of nocturnal creatures thriving in the night. In that logic, Barn Owls seemed to incapsulate the vision! Since 2018 'Bryan & The Barn Owls' have performed in various venues including: The Mar-va Theatre, The Delmarva Folk Festival, Wicomico County Fair, Dickens Parlor Theater, & 1st Beach Festival.
