Trap Pond Partners is a non-profit, all volunteer organization. In September of 2000, we officially partnered with the Division of Parks and Recreation. Most of our membership comes from western Sussex County. As members, we care deeply about preserving Trap Pond Park‘s natural and recreation resources for future generations.

Our main fundraiser is our Annual “Get-in-Gear Family Bike Rally” held on the 1^st Saturday morning in May. This event is a wonderful introduction to anyone not familiar with the park. The ride is not a timed event and participants are encouraged to enjoy the beautiful wooded landscape along the way. The bike rally is Trap Pond Partners’ major fund raiser. All monies raised are used to enhance Trap Pond State Park. Through the years, Trap Pond Partners has touched all areas of the Park. To name a few…..

There are many volunteer opportunities for members at Trap Pond State Park. Each year, we participate at Nemours Healthy Kid’s Day, Trap Pond’s renowned Halloween festivities and all events where park staff request our help. We are excited about our future involvement with Trap Ponds new state-of-the art nature center currently under construction . . . . more to follow as construction continues.
